Abdülvahit Simsek was born in Batman in 1965. Graduated from İzmir Aliaga Highschool in 1983. Between 1986 and 1991 he has been a resident of England/London to study Management Science, Business and Marketing.

He established, ran and bought many companies in this way and turned over those that had accomplished their missions. (Anele A.Ş., Vatan Konserve, Sirene Denizcilik...)
AVS has a strategic local partnership with Marlow Navigation, which is a personnel supply company that employs over 20.000 people in offices all over the world. Besides all that, Simsek is also the owner of 365 Technology, which provides software support to maritime businesses. (365 Technology is a company that develops and handles the integration of ship management software and has a history of 10 years in this business.)
Şimşek has also been the chairman of the board of directors of Ekol Maritime Training Center since 2020. (Ekol is a leading educational institution in the field of maritime seafaring training in Turkey.)

Between the years of 2000 and 2001 Mr. Simsek has taught the class “Supply Chain Management in Maritime” in Izmir Dokuz Eylul University.
